Parents were promised tech would open the world for kids. It did, excessive hobbies and porn (Biggest websites). Then the parents got addicted so sticking a kid in front of a screen for several hours a day is parenting.

Then the kids become adults and lack interpersonal skills and/or are in stages of mental illness.

Instead of screens for starters, kids could use a job outside the house, chores, school work, and sports. Sadly, many parents don't want to teach their kids to enjoy real tasks since it takes away from the parent's screen time.

Tech executives don't let their own kids anywhere near it. There are many articles on this topic.

So now we have tech and circus as the highest level of achievement.

Parenting has gotten worse since tech exploded. There is none. Sad to Watch.
