DJT’s EO re offshore wind has significant negative repercussions - the job losses begin. The primary layoffs are happening now, with the secondary impact on housing, services, consumer goods to follow. Offshore wind, for those unaware, has revitalized long-decrepit and failing ports, built new ports, spurred research and investments in research, created manufacturing jobs (turbines, coatings, blades, cables, steel, ship building, etc.), provided job training, and employed engineers and environmental consultants like me (hundreds of millions in contracts). I do hope someone will open the administrations eyes to the economic damage being done. https://www.wbur.org/news/2025/01/22/prysmian-somerset-offshore-wind-cable-factory-canceled
